Smashball is a modified version of the game designed to fit the Canadian Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) system. Built on a platform that teaches in-game decision making, fundamental movement skills and physical literacy, Smashball aims to address the issue of extremely low participation rates in grassroots volleyball by playing a modified game that makes volleyball more exciting and enticing by focusing on volleyball’s most exciting skill – the spike.
We are extremely pleased to have former Team Canada Captain, Brittney Page, as Lead Coach of the program. Formerly from Vernon, BC, Brittney accepted a full scholarship to Eastern Washington University (NCAA Div 1), after graduating from WL Seaton. Coach Brittney also played professional volleyball for nine years, starting in Spain.
