Our History
Originally founded in 1992, the Kelowna Volleyball Club has grown from just one U15/U16 women’s team to over 200 athletes playing on over 20 teams in all age categories both male and female. The club is a registered non-profit society and is a member of both Volleyball BC and Volleyball Canada. The club provides a range of quality programs from entry to elite training for athletes and opportunities for coaches and other volunteers to participate in the sport of volleyball.
Core Mission
The core business of the Kelowna Volleyball Club is athlete development and performance. We follow the guidelines set out in Volleyball Canada’s “Long Term Athlete Development” model and subscribe to the “Volleyball for Life” philosophy. We strive to promote athletes to reach their potential in the sport of volleyball. KVC has been successful in winning many medals at both the Provincial and National Championship because we focus on developing competitive volleyball athletes.
